UGH!

Today WAS the day that we were going to mail everything to our agency, BUT it didn't work out. After preschool, I loaded the boys in the car and went to our FedEx Kinkos with all of our documents safely in hand. The agency requires that we send the originals and make 2 copies of everything. One copy to be sent to them with the originals and one copy for us to keep and take with us when we travel to China. It was about 3:00 p.m. and the last FedEx pickup was at 4:00 (the same time the boys had haircut appointments). It took me almost an hour to copy everything carefully making sure not to remove any staples or grommets from our originals (basically these couldn't be quick copies through the feeder). Meanwhile, the boys are chasing each other and really not listening that great. I was on a mission and just kept requesting that they sit down, but minutes (or even seconds) later they were up again. Bless the Kinkos lady heart who could see my frustration...she gave the boys markers and paper to color on and made them paper airplanes to keep them busy. Afterwards, I asked her if I could take her home! With minutes left to put everything in the FedEx envelope I quickly reviewed my checklist once more. I was very sad to see that I was missing one document that should have been with our home study, but wasn't. All of this to say, that because of that one document I was not able to send it today. I wanted so bad to say that I sent everything in APRIL (tomorrow is May)...but it just didn't happen. Our home study guy will be dropping by that last document tomorrow and hopefully I can get back to Kinkos before 4:00 to get this all out. UGH-that really just sums this up!
