Special Delivery!

We finally got Kamdynn's care package sent to China! Yesterday Shaunda and I (and ALL 4 boys) went to FedEx to send the package. After filling out all the paperwork (and hoping to get Shaunda's "airline discount") we were told that FedEx doesn't deliver to Kamdynn's postal code-UGH! After that we ran by UPS, only to find out that it would cost $168.00 to send our 5 pound package to China. I nearly passed out when the lady working behind the counter said that was the cheapest they could offer! I also called DHL to check rates and they wanted $126.00. I came home disappointed and told Kevin how much it was and he said, "just pay it, we need to get it to her"!
Today I figured I'd check rates at the good old United States Post Office and I'm glad I did! My friend Jennifer and her sweet girl Brooklyn went with us to send it and we were thrilled when they said it would cost $52.00! Her care package should be delivered in just one week-YEAH! We hope that she and her care takers enjoy the package! We included 3 photo albums (of our family), 2 disposable cameras (in hopes that they will take pictures and return them to us), a blanket, teether toy, rattle and chocolate. We also included a translated letter requesting updated information and photos of Kamdynn. There are no guarantees that we will get anything back, but we figured it was worth a shot!
