Kamdynn's HEART...

We learned late last night that the "Google Translation" was not completely correct translating the e-mail we received from Kamdynn's orphanage. I shared the e-mail with May (who translated our original letter to the orphanage) and she said that it should have translated that Kamdynn has NOT had surgery. I was so surprised by this, because all along we believed her heart had been fixed. I sent the orphanage an e-mail for clarification and I was thankful to get a response back so promptly (they just might regret that this Mommy has their e-mail address). When I translated that e-mail it said "your baby is without surgery so did not leave scar." It translates a little choppy, but it did cnfirm that she has NOT had surgery.
I was up most of the night thinking about the "what ifs" for Kamdynn's little heart. Will her heart be worse or better? Will her heart be healed? Will she need surgery? While all these questions were running through my mind I was also picturing her after surgery with stitches/staples down her chest and tubes hooked up to her. I was honestly wondering how I could get through a surgery WITH her if I had to (especially since I am not a big fan of hospitals)?
Kevin was able to help put my mind at ease by reminding me that God has a purpose for everything and there IS a reason why she hasn't had surgery. Dr. Park was also very encouraged by the fact that she hadn't had surgery and that her heart defect didn't seem to be affecting her growth and development. He said that IF she does need surgery, he'd rather that she have it in the United States and I have to agree. When we return from China we will take Kamdynn to Dr. Park to be evaluated and from there he can decide what route we need to go with her heart. Until then please keep her little HEART in your prayers!

I will pray for that heart - that very special hand choosen heart. She looks so healthy, it is hard to believe that anything could be wrong.
