For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

We've been approved!!!

Today is an exciting day because we received our approval from our government to adopt a child from China. We were told it would take "at least" 90 days to be approved...it took us less than 2 months (we sent our form/request on January 29th). We have a few more things to tackle but are anticipating to send our dossier (all of our documents) to China in the next few weeks-then our official "wait" can start (the last time I asked the approximate wait time was 32 months).
When I opened this letter in the car today, I read it and said to myself "oh yeah!" Konner then asked "what Mom?" So I explained in the best "kid way" that I could that the letter said that we could get a baby from China. Konner said "oh good" and we quickly continued on with our day. Well, shortly after that I went to drop him off at school. He was devastated when he realized that he had left his "show and tell" at home. I tried to explain to him that he didn't have to "show" something and that he could "tell" his class about something. He didn't really like that idea and went into his class crying. When I picked him up his teacher said that he shared about his baby sister for his "telling"...I thought that was pretty sweet, considering he could have shared ANYTHING!
