Special Needs Application Submitted!

Today I had the pleasure of talking to Dr. Matthew Park at the NW Children's Heart Care Center. I really wanted to talk through some heart conditions with a Doctor before we put in our Special Needs application. I informed him that we were adopting and looking to take a heart baby. I asked him if he could share what heart conditions I could put on our application that would need a maximum of one surgery. Right now we feel that this is what we can handle emotionally and financially, so I wanted to do my homework. Dr. Park was more than understanding and very informative on four heart conditions that would fit into the "one surgery" fix category. Dr. Park also said he would be happy to review any medical files that we receive from our agency to further explain the severity of the heart condition. After talking to him and doing a little reading on a "heart" website I submitted our special needs application for a baby girl (0-12 months old) with one of these heart conditions. When I finished the application and hit the "submit" button I didn't hesitate at all...this was just another confirmation that God was leading us in this direction. How soon will we have our little girl? Only time will tell...we still have to wait...just hopefully not as long. Keep the prayers coming...we certainly would love to have Kamdynn home in 2010!
